Sadly it's necessary to ask as what used to be great turns into not so hot after a few months.
Even phoenix will eventually no longer be the newbie friendly multi-purpose team and be relegated to Thrawn/maybe Palp too team.

- Don't waste time/resources on Storm Trooper Han. A lot of reviews recommend him because when he's leveled all the way up he is useful, but he is terrible while you're leveling him up. He's called a tank but he dies quicker than any other tank in the game, for me.

Which goes with what I was saying. CLS is not available until you're very far along into the game. In addition to needing 7-star Old Ben, Leah, Farmboy and STHan, you need a 7-star R2-D2 which is only obtainable by special event, and you need a very high leveled empire team to get him. So you're probably 8-12 months into the game before you can compete for CLS.

8-12?
I've been playing for 4 and I'm ready for CLS when he comes back. It's about focus. If that's what you're after, you can get there fairly quickly.
