Cantina Energy - Continue Star/Unlock Toons or Get Mods?

I've only had my account a couple of months and just reached level 71 yesterday. I've built a good arena team, but I currently have a character on Cantina that is 10/100 toward 7*. There are also additional Cantina characters that I want to unlock. How should mods change the strategy? I'm thinking about staying the course to see what happens, but I could also see taking a big hit in arena in the process. Those who chose wise now will have the advantage, but it's unclear to me what the wise choice is.

    If I were you, I'd stay the course with your initial plan. You might take a hit in Arena for awhile but at some point Mods will die off and those who "mod" up super fast ... the rest of us will eventually catch them. Plus, we don't really know how these mods will change the overall game play.

    Get your main five heroes mods ASAP. It will ease up everything, gw, challenges, raids etc.
    After that you can star up heroes again.

    I would agree with this. It's a pretty sane reply -- use your cantina energy on mods for your gw & arena team. Then worry about the others later.

    With mods my 3 star Ugnaught can kill your 7 star Rey eeeeeezzzzzeeee

    My whole team is now level 5 mods just need a couple million to level the mods up.

    So disheartened about the mod implementation I am tempted to put the game away . To me they did this as a cash grab to generate money from the whales to fill their coffers with no consideration for balance or the future of the game. Very short sighted and has thrown everything out the window.
