Character Idea: Admiral Trench (with anti-chaze synergy)

I thought I'd have a little fun doing some character creation tonight. The Separatist tag has yet to see any hot synergy action, so I figured what better way to create a little Separatist hype than suggest a really cool toon with some interesting character abilities (while staying true to the character's lore), and perhaps offering a reasonable counter to the hot-button issue of Chaze at the same time. Here goes:

Admiral Trench Separatist, Support, Dark Side

Basic: Deal physical damage to target enemy and dispel any positive status effects. This attack does double damage to Rebuplic enemies.

Special: all allies gain 25% turn meter and Protection Up for two turns equal to 25% of their max protection. These effects are doubled for Separatist allies

Unique: Whenever Admiral Trench is defeated, he has a 25% chance to revive with 50% health for each living Separatist ally

Leader: all allies gain 100% turn meter whenever an enemy unit taunts, and Separatist allies gain 20% turn meter whenever they gain a buff or dispel an effect.


I think this character's leader ability would allow for some really creative Separatist synergy, and could work as an effective counter to any auto-taunting toon (Baze, ShT, RG) without being crazy OP. There could be some really cool compositions using some underutilized toons under such a leader. There are FOUR dispelling separatists (asajj, b2, GSpy, SF) and almost all others can grant themselves or their allies a buff, so lots of TM gain with options to go for offensive or defensive squads. Also, Admiral Trench makes for a great Separatist capitol Ship candidate.

  • I really don't care whether trench is in the game or not, but either way, I like the idea of turn meter gain when an enemy taunts. Its something we haven't really seen yet, and like you said, it counters many teams without being OP.
  • Sure, few things:
    He attacks but with what? A blaster or his cane?
    What will he stats be like (health, damage, speed, so on)
    What's his fleet commander stats (becuase he WILL have one The Invincible)
    I don't think he should have a chance to revive based living sepertist ally(es) I think it should kinda be like HK's where it's just a flat x% chance to revive at y% health
    And finally his lore as we seen him is holding the line and preventing people from getting through it, so I think he should be a defence focused healer instead of a pseudo healer so I think he should have stuff like crit immunity, tenacity up, defence up, etc. though I do like the protection idea
