Character level vs star level

Question

Does maxing your toon's character level before you max their star level impact the overall stats of that toon? For example, if you increase Yoda's character level to 85 before you get him to 7 stars will that impact how powerful he is? Would he be more powerful if you get him to 7 stars then increase his character level to 85?

when you gain a star, the difference in multiplier is applied retroactively to the levels you've already gained, so no, no difference.
