I used to love running clones and "collected" (bought) both Rex and Echo, farmed Fives, omega'd and max geared them all and had fun. Was very excited when Cody was announced and was ready to "collect".
First Echo, the fix to his grenade didn't make him anymore useful, as clearing Rey's foresight, and not taunts is pointless and the cool down is way too extreme. Now the "fix" that consigns Echo to the bench permanently. Pre-Cody, with 40% reduction, going twice on a Fives assist call didn't make him OP, it made him a viable toon in a squad.
Now Cody, turns out he's squishy in the extreme, dodgy AI and not in anyway arena viable. And you've "fixed" Echo because of his synergy with a character that few will buy?
Why would I be willing to pay for Cody?
Lost revenue opportunity I'm afraid CG. After my experiences with Echo, sorry, I don't see the benefits and wouldn't even farm him when he's eventually available. I'm sure your business model wasn't based on recouping money invested from the first few folks that bought him at launch and found him to be sub-par... I'm sure you hoped he'd follow the Rex model and provide longer term ROI.
It's a shame.
