I posted similar elsewhere, but it's not impossible. It's not even hard, but I find it requires specific toons with some variation.
Required: zVader, Boba, mass buff remover (Asajj or DT are who I use)
Remainder: TFP (fast, buff immunity, ten down, good dmg), EP, ShT (so your others don't have to worry about taking damage for a hot second), Baze, Chaze, GK
My usual crew is: zVader (L), Boba, DT, ShT, TFP I use the Vader lead mostly for TM reduction
1. The guy I usually fight has a faster Chirrut than I do TFP, so since he goes first, the AI just does basic or special attack on ShT.
2. I then follow up with TFP's AoE. Usually does enough TM reduction that my Boba goes next.
3. At this point, Chirrut probably has the least amount of health (protection) remaining, so I know he'll get cleansed when Barriss goes, so I usually target GK on the Boba ability block, since I know it will actually stick for 2 rounds.
4. DT does basic on Baze. I usually get the stun to land on the 2nd hit.
5. GK does his basic on ShT.
6. Vader does his AoE DoT.
7. TFP does basic on Baze (trying to lower his Prot down to zero is good early on)
8. Barriss does basic
9. ShT refreshes taunt if able
10. Chirrut changes debuffs into HoTs
11. TFP basic on Baze
12. Boba....if there's enough DoTs and HoTs on Baze, I execute him. If not, I look at Chirrut's buff level and/or the other random DPS person used. From here on out it's a pretty basic, boring fight
Other notes
I use DT's AoE only after Chirrut and GK (unless blocked) have used their buff transformation thingie. Once one person is down, I use DeathMark on either GK or Baze. After his AoE, I usually have Vader just use basic on GK, so he keeps ability blocking. Culling Blade won't do required damage on the enemy (usually) unless they have more than 4 DoTs on them. Barriss, 90% of the time, is the last person I bother to kill on this fight.
Sorry for long, rambling post, but this strategy works for me every time. Deathtrooper (DT) is viable from 3* on with this group (as long as you have a high enough gear level).
do you remove your crit chance mods so that you don't trigger GK's taunt?
