Conquest 10 non GL to beat Malaks buffs

Playing on normal with relic 3ish teams. I was stuck on this stupid battle for 3 days. My bossk, boba, mano, grief, embo/jango team is anwhere from g12-r7. I could yeet malak with Mando no problem but couldn't keep him alive after that and it would eventually come down my last guy and their scion.
I had good luck with Jedi Revan, basti, jolie, yodas, but would time out with only malak left, because he kept doing his drain-life/health-steal and I couldn't finish the job.
So I went back and reallocated my data disks, I got rid of a power, a vitality, an insatiable, and I added a blindside, caustic emissions, and a volatile accelerator. Landing those exposes helped. I got it down to just malak with 2½ minutes left. At that point I set it to auto and watched his health go down/down/up, down/down/up bit by bit until he was finally dead.
Cg cranking up the difficulty each conquest and requiring new characters that aren't even accelerated yet for the feats honestly made me want to quit the game. If I didn't have relic and kryo calendars I was trying to finish, I probably would have. However, it was great to finally beat something I thought was unbeatable. As much frustration as malak gave me, I am equally excited about being on the verge of unlocking him I already beat starforge showdown light side, and am just gearing up drevan a bit more.
