Conquest: Attempt to Inflict Armour Shred

Attempt to inflict Armour shred is different to Inflict Armour shred isn’t it? I’ve just used Imperial trooper with Moff Gideon in the line up. I’ve just had a punch up with Phoenix squad in sector...

Is it not then easier and clearer for it to say ‘inflict Armour shred’ rather than ‘attempt to inflict armour shred’ then?
