CT-5555 & Gamorrean Captain
How effective is 5's slow effect with the Gam Captain? I have a gear 10 5's with his 2nd Scanner so Potency is 20% (+40%). Is that strong enough to consistently stick Slow Down on the Captain?

Up to Tier VI, yes. If you've omega'd his primary the double shot can burn the captains TM though. Jawa is a good alternative if you omega its primary.
