The problem with Darth Revan is he's not aging that well...........bless him. If you put him on defence (so as he would appear in Arena) there's an awful lot that can beat a standard Sith Empire team.
So the idea of putting talon in is that it complicates things a little. Bad Batch I think is one example where it's not such a viable counter. So in defensive situations, you're more likely to see Talon with DR than say if you saved DR for offence.
On offence right now, Traya is pretty popular; like the LV counter mentioned above. There are other line ups where she's useful.
TLDR If you have a geared up Talon, don't pigeon hole here. She's quite versatile.
