Death troopers
It is for death mark in raids used by raid bosses nothing to do with DTs death mark. Btw this is answered in thread name zombie and death mark. Also notice the image crumb used its rancor raid nothing to do with death trooper. It should have read death mark in KILL ORDER. - scuba757 years agoLegendDeathmark in raids has always said can't be revived. It has been broken on and off also.
"Deathmark's ability description is a bit incomplete compared to how it was described originally in raids."
"We need to update the ability description to show it prevents revives as seen below (raid pic) "
His post to me sounds like the DT DM ability needs to be updated to read as it does in raids, which is the only place we have a full description if deathmark.
Now let's look at the mechanics of DM and compare to all the other can't revive abilities
DT deathmark
DN annhilate
Boba execute
DT terminate
They all tag the target with "revive_immunity" that effect "revive".
No let's look at revive abilities
Ee revive
It looks for a dead ally not tagged with "revive_immunity"
Jyn revive
It looks for dead ally rebel not tagged with "revive_immunity"
Seems to me DM should be preventing revives
I have my theory as to why sion still revived with deathmark along with probably Boba and Srp (self revives)
Then there is also this bug report from May acknowledged by EA where they also mentioned the fixed the self revive problem with deathmark
https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Deathmark-doesn-t-prevent-revive-against-Mother-Talzin-zeta-lead/m-p/6820992#M13157
This last update fixed dm for the above reported bug however probably broke it for self revives (again) - crzydroid7 years agoHero (Retired)If I recall, looking for allies that don't have revive immunity was added because those abilities were trying to revive allies with revive immunity when there wrre multiple defeated allies, and thus reviving no one instead of the one that could be revived.
However, I also do wonder if self revives are interacting with it in a weird way. - scuba757 years agoLegend

Yeah I think you are right on that one - Crumbs post screen shots raid description for kill order in raids( death mark applied by raid boss)which uses death mark completely different than DTs. So applying death mark with DT will continue to only be a debuff. How ever if you kill the enemy with terminate they will not revive. The post should have read When KILL ORDER GRANTS DEATH MARK , MARKED PLAYER WILL NOT REVIVE. Would have been way less confusing.

Yet the bug report I posted was about MT lead revives from NS killed with deathmark still reviving that was acknowledged as a bug and fixed with the content update last week.
Again DT DM doesn't state that it won't revive anywhere in game, that I agree with. I am pretty sure @CG_SBCrumb post means that they need to update DT DM to state that it prevents revive. As all the mechanics of DT DM says it should prevent revives. - It meant exactly what changed, the description for kill order, not the description for DTs terminate as he specifically used “ IN RAIDS”.

Then explain all the other evidence that has been provided that DT DM should be preventing revives? A poorly written blurb that can and is interpreted multiple ways is not a great argument.
Edit: Do you think that raid description of DM is new cause it is not? The can't be revived has been in the raid DM description for a long time
This is from the 08/2016 game locale file (I would show you an old screen shot but forum search seems to be broken right now
SPECIALABILITY_GAMORREANCAPTAIN03_DESC|Deathmark target enemy for 5 turns. This effect can't be Resisted. (Deathmarked targets must be attacked if able, and whenever they are damaged by an attack, they take bonus damage equal to 50% of their Max Health. If the target is defeated while still Deathmarked, they can't be Revived.)
Which is the exact same description that is in the raid right now and in that screen shot you are posting from SBCrumb. - How many things in the dev post relate to death trooper? How many things in the dev post relate to raid? I understand the confusion as crumb was not direct with the statement even the second time. There is not a secret Illuminati meaning but it definitely 100% says “in raids”. The description for terminate didn’t change and the description of kill order did. DTs death mark is still just a health reducing debuff. It’s about death mark used by raid boss only nothing more, not in pvp not in tw but in raids, raids only.
