Death trooper farming?

Since you are still leveling I would recommend that you spend your crystals mainly on buying energy. More energy spent => more exp. earned and earlier access to new game modes

He is an awesome character and great to have. You are the only one who can decide how much your crystals are worth so your question is very difficult to answer.

I agree, I recommend on concentrating on the squad you have so that later on you can farm him in the Catina nodes. He is on the first node of the last cantina battles

It will take you over 100 days to farm him at that crystal income. By then you could have already been lvl 83 and started farming him via the node.

I'd just wait

I would seriously advise against trying to 7* him via the crystal shipments alone, especially if you're a F2P player. That 200-275 crystals a day would be much better spent on cantina and normal energy refreshes, which will allow you to level faster, unlocking more content and making all your characters stronger.

80 crystals a shard and 330 shards needed is 26,400 crystals. That's 63k normal energy or 31,680 cantina energy. Assuming 16 energy per DT node run (I'm only 82 and haven't opened it yet), That's 1980 cantina node runs. That's more than enough to get him 7*, as well as getting 31,680 xp, 56k cantina store currency, and lots of credits.

I splurged the almost 2k crystals to activate him, because I'm chasing hard after reaper and I can't farm him yet. I also pull in closer to 500-600 crystals a day. I'm not buying any more shards with crystals - he can sit at 3* until I unlock his node.
