Director Krennic stagger

Good evening,

I was wondering what is the reasoning behind Director Krennic's Death Trooper Assault's stagger effect not working on raids. I did two runs today one on normal t6 rancor (p2) and one on normal AAT raid (also p2). I checked the info about the fearsome foe buff and on neither it's saying that raid bosses should be immune to the debuff (unlike on P1 of rancor raids gamorrean captain).

While Krennic is pretty damn nice as a DPS character on these raids with my non-zetad vader lead his main selling point for me was the turn meter manipulation from the Special ability. I do realize that ability to drain whole turn meter pool is pretty strong we already have other characters with basics/special abilities that drain the partial or whole turn meter pool. In my humble opinion stagger should be useable vs the raid bosses because it can be dodged/resisted/dodged adding an extra hurdle for the ability to actually be working (in other words the initial shot can be dodged, effect resisted and then the followup shot to actually doing the draining can also be dodged making it already less dependable that abilities that only check against dodge/resist)

This is just my two cents, other than this little oversight I'd say Krennic is pretty nicely build character

  • Teebo can remove 100% TM while stealthed on his basic over and over again, so really it's just a worse version of teebo as you can only use it once every few turns, but I think the goal was to make the raids a challenge still and not make TM manipulation the way to beat everything.
  • I understand the goal for keeping raids as a challenge and in my opinion non of the 100% TM reductions should be complete TM removal in raids anyways. But at the same time it would be nice if skills like Krennic's stagger would work in raid environment even if it was for limited capacity.

    Other one that comes to mind as an example is EP's shock, way I see his kit revolves around shocks (TM gain etc), but he is effectively nerfed on raids (mainly rancor since it only has one opponent most of the time).

    And the whales can beat you to... playing vs AI is not the real deal. I for myself (nearly a non spender) have a full empire team, my Death Trooper is Gear XI (with Zeta) and my Krennic is only Gear X at the moment but i put him over my maxed Vader to have some fun with Death Troopers Zeta and now my squad has only 41.323 power rating and i win with "Krooper" against the other top10 teams around me (with 47-49k power).

    @Back to Topic: Yes Stagger should work at raids too - sure i can only get more stars for Krennic if he isn't behind this huge paywall but overall the ability is unique and it reads "TM removal IF you follow up with damage" so overall it is really balanced and weaker than other TM removal abilities.

    As MD_Geist put it, original post was for raids. I have no objections on stagger being RNG in arena, since I myself also am able to beat higher power teams, depending on RNG it's walk in a park, sometimes I lose, it's just the name of the game :wink:

    And with reworks and addition of new characters it seems that arena is going to be changing for good in my opinion (I'm decently new player and my shard is just now starting to change from basic wiggs+3 other rebel combo to others)
