Some teams/players drop considerably less far than others.
and every time you waste an attack to reestablish your rank, you devalue the final payout. Sure Krennic teams can win on offense. Sure no team can truly hold on defense. But as leef said, the further you fall, the more work to get back up to the top and the greater likelihood of spending crystals for refreshes.

For alot of players it is an issue if a team isn't good on def. It means they might have to refresh (more often) and spend more time on arena than with a team that doesn't suck on defence. Obviously both teams will be awesome on offence, that's a given for a team that does well on defence. The same can't be said the other way around, that's why people usually rate an arena team based on their defensive capabilities.
This is general statement, too general. Team Palp Vader Thrawn and Krooper is quite good on defense. For sure this team will drop but my expierience is like from top 10 to max 25.
Well, count your blessings i guess. I'm reasonably sure that won't be the case on my leaderboard. (assuming mods on par with the average top20 player).
Being sure doesnt mean it would be the way You think. You need to try this than You can say anything about this. I tried this, today i dropped from 10 to 15. Thinking is only thinking but if you are sure about what You think there is no space for surprise ....
Actually, that is exactly what being sure means. That's why i said i'm reasonably sure. Anyway, i don't have the resources to be sure about everything, so i'm just gonna stick with being reasonaby sure.
