I get the feeling that with all the events we are getting plus the scoundrel events increasing coinage and training droids that it's like we are being reset. get everyone up to a Base squad of 80. I've gone from being a top 100 arena player to top 10 in the past month. and now would be competitive in most tier 7 guilds I would think. it kind of feels like if they want to give us all relatively easy resources to get most of our guys to level 80 before the next "phase" of the game. all the people who were way out in front of me can only widen the gap with elusive speed mods and with the introduction of tier 6/7 mods on the next raid that lead would be negated quiet a lot. so I guess I'm asking are those who have been at the top along time essentially holding onto resources ready for the next phase or are you blowing your wad on mods ? just a thought... I feel a change coming....

They have been quiet a long time. I've been feeling a growing tremor in the force as well. A presence I've not felt since ... mods. If it's a level-cap increase, I feel sorry for the newer players who haven't had this extended level 80 roster-building experience. I hope they add some sort of leveling gate at L80 before L90 can be unlocked, like 25 L80 7* heroes before you can move on to L90.

Again, both Community Manager in a podcast, and devs in forums have said the credit/droid increase was do to shortage, not level cap increase. This is just within the last few weeks. I think we have plenty of time.You are free, of course, to stockpile it all and not level your heroes if you wish.

I just think right now A LOT of players must have maxed a lot of toons which feels intended so that must mean something new on the horizon !

@Darthpippa It's hard to evaluate for a couple of reasons, 1.) it's my understanding that servers are built on player start dates or chronologically, and 2.) player variance in spending/play style is huge. For example, I was just reading a thread where someone was talking about how they don't have EP yet (it wasn't a complaint, just observation) and that they were also f2p. There are also f2p players who've played since November that have EP at 7*. So time is one thing, and then the player variance, I have no metrics on it so this is speculation, you have people that play daily and those that hit it on the weekends only.We do know there's a raid coming soon. I'm anticipating that means a new hero (but that's also speculation) but we do know there will be new mods. :)So there is definitely stuff to save up for, but 'catching up' will mean something different for all of us.

I like that idea. But next level cap will be 85.

that the mod challenges you need specific toons to compete in them and maybe the new raid will require people using a deep roster

i am thinking its not just a new raid but a while rework of how raids work. hence the very long testing to see how it goes in the long run. people have given feedback on rewards, coin generation and rankings enought that it merits a whole overhaul. and i see this as a guild lead.

@Darthpippa I think you may be onto something here. We've had some great events, and a massive injection of credits and training droids. I've managed to level up and promote toons in hardly any time. This worries me, as they definitely don't want us to progress even more quickly - that's why mods came along, to slow our progress.

I do think there's a good argument for hoarding credits and training droids at least until the raid appears, and we know what's needed for that and who the MVPs of that will be. Of course, mods are a huge credit sink, but not huge enough to keep us as skint as we used to be!

It was mentioned very recently on Reddit that no level increase is even planned let alone being worked on.

A level increase requires a ton of new content, abilities to balance, etc.

It is very obvious they are working on the next raid and not a level increase. I doubt we see one this year.
