Dooku or Maul? Who to Gear 9 first?

Hey everyone. Long time lurker, first post. Here is my arena squad:

DN 5* (L) / Dooku 6* / Sidious 7* / Vader 5* / Maul 5*. ALL LVL 70 and Gear 8.

My question is about who I should Gear up to Gear 9 first. On one hand, Dooku under DN lead is super critical to my success in arena. He is a pain to kill and I love it. But Maul is SO SQUISHY. He dies first 95% of the time.
Is it more worth it to Gear Dooku and make him more unstoppable or Gear Maul and make him less of a pillow in arena?
I usually sit around 95-115 in my shard. Thanks for all advice and thoughts! So excited to join this forum!

If you are going to try to climb the ranks, I would consider putting in Sith Assassin and Sith Trooper if you have them. All 3 work well together and SAss just gives everyone nice boost in turn meter. Trooper is there to absorb all of the hits. Sidious is actually not effective under DN since there is no crit chance and Maul is just squishy. I've had a similar lineup as you but had EP instead of Sidious and had a hard time staying top 50. After putting in SAss and SiT in replacing Vader and Maul, I was able to stay top 20. So having DN (L), Dooku, EP, SiT, and SAss. I'm able to take top 5 day after day.

To answer your question though, I'd go with Dooku.

Damn masternad. Thanks for all the advice! I think my problem is maul is my fav Star Wars character by a long shot so I use him. Maybe I will look into sith trooper for sidious since the whole "no criticals" thing. Though I really only use sidious for his healing immunity. I only look for DN teams in arena cause his healing immunity wrecks so hard.

I've got some thinking to do!

Dooku if you're keeping DN as leader. Dooku is an animal under him.
