Droids officially dead.

I personally am going to enjoy collecting characters, building squads and not worrying if my droids can't take #1. There are more parts of this game then arena. Raids a very important and Droids are a very easy P2 team for HAAT. And I'm on a young shard, but still take top 20 with my droids every day.

*shurg* not butthurt. When they do eventually get buffed, you'll have them. And IG-88 and B2 are very useful in other parts of the game, so really you're only looking at IG-86 being dead weight.

Theres a droid team that still gets top 10/15 during his payout on my december 2015 shard which is dominated by Zeta maul leads, zeta vader leads, a few GKs and some zQGJ teams and some very well modded EP led teams.

Sure it ain't the best team, but it's still viable. Droids are still viable, you're just not going to

I'm on a young shard myself. Started playing Dec 10 16. I take top 20 with my droids most days. Some days it's top 10, Others it is top 50. Pretty sure I'll be top 10 regularly when I hit level 80 and max HK's leader ability.

Even with the sick turn meter gain, the meta directs droid composition. Speed. Stacking speed is key to this meta. Holding back speed to optimize first volley is more harmful than helpful imo. Droids don't need to wipe out 3 people first volley. 1 or 2 suffices... IF you have enough speed stacked on them.

Ha. I haven't been on here in months and there are still 'droids are dead' threads. Droids are the same as they've always been. They've never been meta but they are good enough to keep you relatively competitive with whatever the current meta is. I started the first month this game came out and run the same droid squad.... HK, 88, 86, Poggle, RG. Yes.... Poggle!! I love my Poggle. Just maxed them all out and have over 48,000 in total power. I just decided to make a run in arena (I stopped caring for a long time because fighting Wiggs after Wiggs after Wiggs is just not fun) and I went from 181 to 60 in a day. When I used to care, they would keep me in the top 50 which is fine. They are not a top 10 team but I don't need them to be. They get targeted a lot simply because they are not Wiggs so they drop overnight but whatever.

Get Jawa Engineer out of there.... he sucks. After round 1 he is useless. Instead, beef up your droids so they survive round 1. Once they get rolling in round 2, that's when I win all my battles. This is where Poggle comes in... he give O and Speed up for the entire rest of the match rather than just the initial speed burst.

Chopper will only Synergy with Star Wars Rebels characters i would assume.

And nice resurrection... Actually found a way to make my droids quite a bit more effective. Still wouldn't mind a zeta tho;)

I held out to my droids a long time and kept at top 50. Finally I was having issues keeping at top 50 so I had to swap squads, now I can keep low 20s without effort with rebel team.

Hopefully, they do something in the future to reinvigorate droids.
