It used to be that way in my shard too - then everyone started using HT as a reinforcement, along with Biggs, Boba, Sun Fac, etc. That's a lot of HP to eat thru before my cap ship hits it's 4th turn. Maybe at the bleeding edge of fleet battles where 7* XB and IG2000 dance with 7* Sith Fighters and 7* Sith Bombers things are back to lightning fast battles, but in my shard it's becoming a bit of an endurance test for the time being.
I did notice faster kills when I was running Tarkin over Thrawn, but since my Tarkin isn't the fastest now I've moved to Thrawn.
I find this too. I love seeing HT in first 3. Usually fast battle. But as a reinforcement they get much longer.
Also with Tarkin, even tho he can get to ultimate faster, it's often not a game ender anymore.
