Can you tell me why? Ii was nerfed? Did you play with Chimaera after the ships rework?
Chimaera is still a good ship but in focusing on it now you'll neglect your DS ship farming and thus won't unlock the zeta mats challenge until much later. Once you've unlocked and can sim that challenge then I'd say go for chimaera; in the meantime make sure you're farming for Tarkin and 5 DS ships.
