Farm path for rebels fleet

I decided to develop rebels fleet led by Acbar and would like to ask an opinion of more experienced buddies about my plan:)

I'm level 68, my main squad are Phoenix, so their ships are the core of my fleet. I have Phantom II, Ghost and BG Xwing, also TIE Silencer and Lando's Millenium Falcon (not very happy with LMF...) I've kept my rank in top 10 for the last two weeks.

1. What would be the best composition for battles? Now I usually run Phantom II, Ghost and TIE Silencer in front line, TIE Silencer and LMF as reinforcements. Any better suggestions?

2. Is it worth to start farming Slave I (to use instead of LMF when ready)? Or it'd be better to develop Wedge's Xwing as it has synergy with Biggs?

3. The next step is to run for Cassian's U-wing and its crew, as I aim for Chimaera in the future. Is it ok or it be better to run for empire/geonosians?

Any suggestions are highly appreciated:)!

Biggs should be one of your 3 opening ships for each battle. Biggs should also be geared and leveled as high as possible because every improvement to the character (except mod abilities) improves his ship as well.

    I got that, thanks!:)

So, zeta challenge is only possible with DS ships?

    @belousoff2006 Yes. 5 + Tarkin.

Not exactly. But 5 dark side ships are a prerequisite to having an appropriately level Executrix for doing the fleet ability challenges where you can get zetas. It’s like a full Empire team isn’t technically a requirement to get CLS, but you’ll need one to get R2D2, who is a requirement for CLS. So you’ll need one anyway.
In this case, you need 5 dark side ships at 4* to do the Tarkin challenge and get Executrix to 5*. And you need Executrix at 5* (along with a bunch of other 5* ships that can be either dark or light side) in order to do the “zeta” ship ability challenge. And if you want ship omega abilities, you’ll need 5 dark side ships at 5* to get Executrix to 6* for the highest tier ship ability challenge.
  • As Kai_Mulai said, you need 5 DS ships to level Executrix, which is the capital ship needed for the ability mat challenge. (At least I think it's still 5...)

    Some easy-to-get DS ships:
    -TIE Silencer (you have)
-Imperial TIE Fighter (decent chance you'll get TFP for an Empire squad for R2)
    -First Order TIE
    -Geo Soldier's Starfighter
    -Geo Spy's Starfigher

    Some harder-to-get, worth-having DS ships:
-Sun Fac's Starfighter (ship itself is easy, both in fleet and GW) and Sun Fac (fleet store and guild store only)
-TIE Advanced, fleet store only, looong farm but very powerful. Useful under Ackbar with Biggs and Bistan's U-Wing.

All these ships but TIE Advanced show up in the fleet store and the GW store, so they should be relatively fast farms. Ships like Slave 1 and Scimitar are good ships, but they don't show up often. If your goal is to complete the Executrix challenge quickly, I'd recommend going for the easier-to-farm ships. Also, I would highly recommend spending at least 400 GW tokens on ship shards every day until you've got Executrix at 6*. The faster you unlock zetas and ship omegas, the faster you power up your toons and fleet with the best abilities.

As for Chimaera... I'm in a shard that's all Executrix except for one 7* Chimaera that someone whaled on. Since Ships 2.0, I beat that fleet to take 1st almost every day. Before Ships 2.0, there wasn't a chance at all for me to beat it. Chimaera is still a good ship, but it's a lot more evenly matched with the others now rather than being the must-have god ship. I'll get Chimaera the next time it comes back, but it will probably sit in my collection at level 1 until Executrix and Home One are maxed.

I'd just go genosians, you need dark side ships for Zeta challenge any way

Yes, I am considering genosians as they are said to the next possible meta:)

    Don't go for Chimaera now

Can you tell me why? Ii was nerfed? Did you play with Chimaera after the ships rework?

Chimaera is still a good ship but in focusing on it now you'll neglect your DS ship farming and thus won't unlock the zeta mats challenge until much later. Once you've unlocked and can sim that challenge then I'd say go for chimaera; in the meantime make sure you're farming for Tarkin and 5 DS ships.

I have found that after the rework I'm doing better with Tarkin again. I only farmed for Chim once I realized it was basically unbeatable, so now that it's no longer true, I'd probably not bother with it at all until you've got many other priorities taken care of.
  • One more question about ITF:) TFP is on my farming shortlist for July. I've read many times that ITF now is broken after rework, it doesn't give a turnmeter to its capital ship. SmithieD had a video about this issue today. Has anybpdy encountered such a problem?

I have indeed. However ITF is still worth using anyway though it doesn't dodge as much as it used to that nerf was intentional though, not the TM thing.

Ackbar is a rising star nowadays. Sadly due to other projects I haven't had the credits or other resources to get the toon himself into a usable state. Of course that means his ship isn't all that good either right now.

I run the Rebel trio of Phoenix and Biggs. With TIE and Slave as backup, though right now Slave explodes if an enemy weapon sneezes next to his station. Turns out 50K health isn't much cop in fleets.

Not to mention my personal level is only 75 which means all ships are trash anyway. At least until they get 7*.

Mods are too expensive to level up to max so the pilots suffer that as well due to needing to 7* toons every few days.

  • ITF is not the superstar it used to be - it's now "normal" instead of "insanely OP." I'm still using it, but I'll probably move away from it when I can. Ships 2.0 nerfed how often it dodges, and the AI is now smart enough to not target it when it has Foresight, so you're lucky if you get one dodge in a match when you used to get four or five. I'd still recommend getting it to 5* for the Executrix challenge if you're planning to get TFP for Empire. It's tied with Silencer for fastest DS ship, and it can hit hard.
