So I’m starting to gear up characters for my Galactic Republic team, but I’m unsure of who to throw in for the fifth slot. I have GMY in my JKR team, C3P0 in my CLS team, and R2D2 in my RJT team alongside BB8 and Resistance Heroes Finn and Poe.Would any of the toons mentioned just now be better in the GR team’s 5th slot than in the team I have them in now? If so, who would be a good replacement?Thanks!

I get better use of R2 with that Padme lineup, but then again my resistance is kind of subpar.

@JortenNewlan it does not matter. Plo Koon dispel on basic is useful, and because Kenobi and Padme call all to assist it's a second dispel besides Ahsoka. Sometimes you want Ahsoka to dispel and she is just so slow, having plo their helps that.G12 Plo for the ship. In squads his TM boost to the team is also useful. Likely you will have him somewhat for his ship.

I mean you could put GAS if you have him, and leave the 501st to Shaak Ti. Or just use someone random or underside

Depends. If purely for offense, you could likely get away with a four-unit underdog.

There are several good options, good for different reasons.

zBarriss doesn't increase offensive capability, but she makes the other 4 harder and more annoying to kill.

GMY spreads Foresight and protection up, though a lot of his kit is neutered under Padme lead because she stops tm manipulation. He'll give you tons and tons of buffs.

CAT is currently the best option--huge boost both offensively and defensively thanks to het instakill and unique ability, which is like a fantastic leadership ability basically.

C3P0 will lower your cooldowns a bunch and mess with enemies.

I used R2 for a short while, he's good for the modest stat share and his smoke is a soft taunt on GK.

Shaak Ti provides mass offense up, another way to clear enemy buffs, a single-target heal (well, really two target because she heals herself as well) and her 1st special compliments Padme's heal as a second cleanse ability, as well as granting a strategic buff to an ally.

A slow CWC can stack Courage very high if he avoids being dispelled, then you can unload all the stacks in a sort of nuke.

While there are lots of options, C3 is the one I always use.
