Fleet Arena Advice

I have been having some problems in fleet arena lately of dropping heavily lately in fleet arena. I attribute part of this to more people playing Fleet Arena as there of periods of increased/decreased play. I normally finish in the top 5 and drop to the tens, but lately that has been increased to the twenties. I was wondering if there was a better defensive line up using what ship I have.

My Standard Line:
Executrix: Biggs, Tie Silencer, Tie Fighter
Reinforcements: Tie Advanced (1st), Jedi Starfighter, FO Tie Fighter, and 3 star Hound One.

Most players in my shard use a variation of my standard line-up, a couple of Geo squads, and three that are running Hounds Tooth, Bane's Fighter, and Biggs/TF.

Here is my roster: https://swgoh.gg/p/373846679/

Any advice would be appreciated. I do have Scimitar but do not run it since it is useless against Geos and their stealth.
  • You've got a solid starting lineup. I'm a bit confused about your reinforcements though. Which Jedi Starfighter? Ahsoka? Plo Koon? JC? You also said 3* Hound One. Your Hounds Tooth is 4*, and your Slave One is 7*.

There aren't really any fleets at the moment that can really hold defensively.
  • Yeah, sorry about the confusion but Jedi Consular's Star Fighter and I thought my Hound's Tooth was 3 star instead of 4. I am mostly looking to just increase my ability to defend myself and as you said it is hard to hold defensively with any team.
  • Hounds Tooth is a good start - AI seems to prioritize taunters/tanks for reinforcement. So leave HT as a backup and then watch your opponent have to deal with it after already taking a few turns.

I'd drop JC Starfighter - it's ok for some pve content but doesn't really have a place in arena. Slave One or Sun Fac could take that spot - throwing wave after wave of taunting tanks to prolong the battle not only makes you an unattractive target; it makes ultimates much more likely to come into play. And Executrix as the second best one.

You might try swapping Silencer for TIE Advanced in your starting lineup. The guaranteed target locks make it much harder for your opponents to chew through Biggs.
