Well phoenix is a fun squad to play period. Dropping zetas only increases that and gives you better options in LSTB, but if you're not struggling with those I do not see the point.
Gar Saxon is ok, but not great. He's fun to play, and can do alright in DSTB, but beyond that he's mostly useful for his ship.
Due to a lot of rumors going around about a GM Yoda rework, you might be ahead of the curve leveling up your jedi.
Honestly though? If you do not have a specific one in mind, and do not need to farm anyone, try out some weird teams.
Are your jawas 7* and geared up? They can be great in HAAT raid, and may have more synergy in the future. And it is just fun to watch those mini monks shoot people.
There is a lot of talk about a bounty hunter rework, so how about those? If nothing else it gives you another strong team for DSTB.
Speaking of Matt, his zeta/leadership is better than phasmas overall and most strong FO teams do not have Phasma (The usual one I see is zMatt, zKylo, FOO, FOST, and FO Executioner. If no FOX then FOTP, FOSFTP
Veterans for JTR? I know they are a horrible grind, but hey if you don't have them you need them.
Past that point you're getting into teams just to try them.
I am in a really old shard (2016) and there is still a guy who places top 40 with a freacking ewok squad. Try that if you want to laugh a little?
I am biased towards clones if you do not have a team of them. I love the clones and can't wait for them to be better in Arena.
Tuskin squads are popular "I have noone to focus on" Squads.
Essentially, there is a hundred ways you can go! If you do not need one to stay arena viable, or just need another squad for TW or TB, then pick any of them! Go for a Geonosian squad, BH squad, Jawa Squad, and of these can help in TW, TB, and are a fun little break from the "usual" teams you see.
