G12 Guide?

G12 generally seems like an awful node farm. Googled answers suggest that you either get things like stun guns through raids or use crystals to buy from shop. It seems like the 33% drop rate is no longer a thing at G12.

But it would help me out if there was a guide on most efficient route - like buy parts or buy the whole gear - the answer seems to depend on which gear. And, are there some nodes worth farming?
  • This is a guide of what's worth getting from where (e.g. buy that piece with crystals but that one from the shard shop): (gigantic spreadsheet)

It mostly depends on what gear you need, but generally:
    - Wait for things that drop from both Raid boxes to drop
    - Buy the gold component pieces with crystals (25 for 375c) - Warning! Not to be mistaken for the salvage, which drop by the dozen from challenges
    - Get stun cuffs & carbantis from the guild store
    - Get G11 gear, stun guns and some other painful purple things from shard shop
    - Farm G11 gear from their nodes
  • I think you mean G11 gear, you can't farm G12 gear. And the drop rate on purple gear is lower than 33%. Around 20% IIRC.

    Yes, you're correct - G11

Is all the farmable stuff at G11 around 20%?

Stun guns seem to be way less than that. Like, not even 1 out 10, but that was with only about 50 sims.

I wish stun guns were only required at gear 11.

So, the drop rate is closer to 20%. Often you'll go on runs where you get squat. It's usually a smidge cheaper to use the crystals on 50 cost refreshes.

That said, it kills my soul to do it that way, so I'll just buy a full one here or there when I have enough saved.
  • I've actually started to farm carbs from a normal energy node. Most purple gear is on a 10 node but for some reason carbs also have one 8 node.
  • @TVF I do the same from time to time. It really helps bring in the carbantis and I feel good about being able to get a bunch at a time without having to spend a ton of crystals on refreshes.
