Zeb: Phoenix tank for Thrawn/Chimaera event, good in TW Phoenix team under Hera lead, LSTB special mission
Phasma: Offense mod challenge, FO arena lead if no KRU(Matt)
Magmatrooper: “Welfare” TMR for Heroic Rancor under Zader lead, DSTB special mission, potency mod challenge, last resort Empire toon for R2-D2 event (TMR doesn’t work in final tier).
K-2SO: Rogue One LSTB mission, mediocre at best LS tank(better if paired w/Cassian)
Lumi: “Welfare” Barriss, good starter healer, Jedi for Yoda event.

Ships probably.

Depends on if you are close to any other events or a rancour solo team or something the answer may change but generally ships.

Depends on what you have. If you don't have Zeb, you'll need him for Phoenix. Resistance Pilot is very good for resistance. Do you need Cad Bane for Bounty Hunters? Ships are good too.

I don't farm ships in favor of shard shop juice. But I won't tell you to do that bc it's probably foolish in the long run

Personally at level 60 I was pretty much finished Biggs and had already done zeb. Once I finished biggs I switched entirely to ships and have been top 3 at payout since (level 80 now).

It's a big head start. Depends entirely on what event teams you are working on. No point farming Zeb if you aren't farming phoenix. No point farming cad if you clear credit heist easily etc.

I believe you get slightly more shard shop currency by farming blueprints, actually. Not positive however.

That's 100% correct.
Best bang for your buck in terms of shard shop is Cassian U-Wing from Cantina Shipments.

1. Finish zeb to get thrawn.
2. Then get 5 darkside ships to 5* for zetas.
3. 7* characters for platoons.
4. 7* ships for platoons and shard shop currency.
