I have him at 4* in a lvl80 full droid squad. Surprisingly, surrounded by his buddies he can hold his own. If he triggers a taunt on my Omega'd up Magnaguard he's worth his work. But... and this is a big one... he is waaay too squishy without the health boost droid allies give him. Even though I've got him maxed out in skills with Omega on his first two skills, he would be easily one-shotted in most arenas. If you're not running an HK47 lead, I wouldn't even consider him. But if you do then know that you're going to need to max out his skills and collect another 65 shards to make him worthwhile.
So many times they tempt us with awesome new characters. We spend. We grind. We activate them. We realise they're 2 stars behind everyone else and we're basically going to have to unlock them again before they become useful (yes B2, you twat, I'm looking at you).
I went for him simply because I wanted a fluffy all-droid team. If you don't have that affliction or aspiration then save your shards my friend and get some more stars on your existing toons so you can better help out your guild.
