They don't nerf your hero, they tweak the AI. It's a loophole they added and admitted a long time back. First they did this in GW now where ever. Like when RJT squads destroyed STR they were changed via the AI so their stats elsewhere were uneffected.

They did change the AI on JKR when he used to start by always marking Traya. That made it easier for Traya teams to work around JKR, so they made it randomize is marked target.

I'm aware of JKR marking Traya (or DN, maybe if no Traya), whereas with other toons it's more random (like with CLS/Han/Chewie). What I don't remember is where they said it. I don't run Traya against JKR so I have no "feel" ;)
Happy to admit I'm wrong if someone can actually point to a statement showing this stuff happened.
