They don't nerf your hero, they tweak the AI. It's a loophole they added and admitted a long time back. First they did this in GW now where ever. Like when RJT squads destroyed STR they were changed via the AI so their stats elsewhere were uneffected.

As others pointed out, tweaking the AI does not affect the damage values. Not sure what AI tweaks they did to JTR teams against Sith Raid but that raid wasn’t meant to be auto’d and Darth Nihilus is always random on who he targets or annihilates
