Gold mod - level 1 do I upgrade?

So, they will still have their random secondaries upgrade as normal?

It doesnt matter when you upgrade the golden so you can go ahead now.

The current status quo if only speed matters to you based on what I have learned (ignore speed arrows for this):
Gold mod with speed: upgrade whenever
Purple mod with speed: upgrade to level 9
Blue mod with speed: upgrade to level 6
Green mod with speed: upgrade to level 3.
That’s what I’m doing until the final update hits.
