@evanbio , yes, you are correct that your arena rank might drop while you're doing your Raids. And of course there's ships with ships pilots who need mods as well.
I usually fight my way back up in the arena after I put them back on. I haven't invested that much in ships actually. Except for JC, my pilots do not have mods on them. I found is too much of a hassle to remove them each time we're doing a Raid, and to put them back on afterwards :p
So for me it's just the 5 mod sets. 10 mod sets is probably better for others :)
