Help with Tier IV Gungans please!!

So I have been on tier 4 in order to unlock jar jar, but I feel like there is something seriously wrong. I have tried every single mod possible, have gone on YouTube for help, and maul continuously takes out jar jar every single time. I have Boss at 335 speed, attackers at 324, and 314, and Tank at 264 with 71.4% defense. I can get past Maul's first special, but if I survive it the second time around, he attacks again and takes Jar jar out!  I don't know what to do... Is it a glitch or am I doing something wrong? I need some help here, please.
