HK-47 lead droid team nerfed

There's a few old school teams that catch people out in TW. HK+JE is a good example. You can fill it with 3 old, unupdated droids and it appears harmless. You go to attack it and suddenly, thanks to JE's speed and HK's lead, you get mauled before you can even start.

Once upon a time, things like Tenacity actually meant something. Nowadays there are so many broken game mechanics that bypass stats with 'can't be evaded or resisted' and other nonsense that teams that still play by the rules are often overlooked. But if you have a team that was once A grade, it can still offer some form of resistance if someone goes in unprepared.

HK hasn’t been good for over a year now, before zetas even became a thing. All that time since zetas, Droids have been hamstrung because HK limited what they could do for future characters.

Seems like this is a hot debate. I was pissed to see what they did to HK. The explanation in summary was, in order to play nice with another Reven, the droids can take another for the team. I love the droids. Since I first started playing the game unaware of how completely wrong I did everything. It’s been droids and since day one there hasn’t been a viable droid leader aside from HK. This isn’t the first devastating nerf for the team. Ig 88 was updated twice. Pre Bounty Hunters and Pre Zeta. His original setup from 2016 made him a killer though his health even at gear 12 with m6 health mods is stupid pathetic. The Devs have criminally neglected this great faction and consistently ignore. Upon hearing of a rework. The sky lit up for me and I went all in on gear zetas shards. It was grevious and separatist droids. Then the rework was done.

Trying not to seem like I’m rage ranting. I get where CG was coming from. I ran g10 hk g11 2zeta t3 g10 bb8 1zeta droid healing. K2 g9 g12 Ig88 no zeta 222% Crit 77 potency 45 Crit chance 3001 off. Other droids were 186 Crit potency health and speed focused. With combat logic upgrade with adaptive aim it was but 4 5 maybe six rounds and 88 with debuffed enemies was pulling 100g+ crits. K2 and bb8 30-40g counters and t3 healing. Hk wasn’t all that useful other than the leader and aoe attack. His damage piddly and a embarrassing device that only functioned as a replay of his own death.

I’m eager for the devs and CG to finally moving on from jerking Reven and the Old Republic. Go through and fix this OP crazy broke mess. Old republic RPG mechanics are a whole other demension from old tabletop and later modern gaming RPG mechanics that is the original Star Wars universe and legends. They can’t co exist together.

And if CG believes these two different worlds can exist. The the polar opposite from Reven should be Force God Luke Skywalker. Starkiller old Jedi Knight games. Yeah through some shooter mechanics in.

I and I know many like me we’re ready for the droids to do something together. Put zetas behind a leader. Whatever. I’m sure ebony and ivory Reven are going to remain the Meta and make cash fall from the sky. It’s done. Move on to something else before it’s five Han Solos and four Chewbacca’s later. Remember it was R2 D2 that made the original trilogy marketable to kids. This skyrocketing it from just film to a level of legacy for generations of kids to come.

this game isnt designed to be fun for f2p players, its designed for p2w players. so if u dont like how the curent meta works find more friendly f2p game, otherwise u have to swallow devs manipulation...

It’s nerfing characters that time and yes money have been spent to build and find the correct synergy and climb ranks unlocking and building slightly quicker and so on. Not only droids but Zfinn is a perfect example. That Devs and CG along with EA made an astronomical fortune in panic farms on Reven. Pay to win. I get it. Want the best pay for the best. But when they have to weaken characters that have money built into them, that have been avail for a few years plus and a diversity in arena was around proper offensive strategy and defensive logistics in order for the new meta to seem that much better and the must have. That’s plain theft.

Further along a new meta is announced along what to stop from nerfing another zeta because it won’t play nice with the new kid. How ever much cash pumped into both Reven s to be number one only to be weakened cause the new release has to be immediately number one. Squad arena is a joke now of literally the same squads. Great job. You’re rank one with the exact same team as your opponent. Those were some awesome rolls with that lucky evade or Crit hit or the ai on defense is equivalent to an Atari 2600. That few hundred bucks really shows. Fantastic every other toon was weakened in order for the same squads to compete against each other.

Nobody is going to pay $100+ on a new release to get smoked by someone who perfected a teams based for offense and defense. It’s only the beginning. And will get worse. Because it was allowed too. Pay to win what joke. That would be great to have.

Droids were viable for about 5 minutes. Let it go. You’ll get a new droid leader
