No there is currebtly no definite answer as not all missions have been highlightet in teh videos, but from what we know and what was shown in the videos he is only needed at 5*. BUT he might show up as requirement for Platoon missions (also at higher star rankings) in Phases where he is not required for specific missions.

Thanks for the reply, that's what i thought, keep seeing a lot of vids saying hes needed at 7* so i imagine platoon missions is the likely reason for this.

Most of that comes from the datamine where combat missions required 7* LS / Rebels plus Soldier. So ther is still a chance that he might be required for some of those but nothing has been confirmed by the vids so far. Also he will be farmable via the new store...

Hes first needed at 5 stars, then at 7 stars in the final phase. Reddit has far more information than these forums. Check there

As mentioned this is based on the datamine but none of the vids so far confirm he is needed at 7* for a specific mission be it combat or special. It might be the case but might not be the case. As the datamine was wrong in some ways (propably due to rebalancing)

The videos released are NOT based on data mines... Two people were given full access to TB and they really highlighted everything, (I watched a video that was over an hour long about it, it went into GREAT detail about EVERYTHING) As far as I can tell, he's only gonna be needed at 5 stars.

He'll be easier to farm once TB drops as he is in GE shop.

Yes I believe you are correct. 5* for the ROLO mission was explicitly stated in the videos multiple times.

However any characters that are used in phases 5 and 6 are required to be 6* and 7* respectively. So if you want to use him there he'll need to be higher, and for those of us with limited resources it makes sense to just finish him since we are forced to put some resources into him already. But 5* is all that is required for a special mission.

Now, it was also stated clearly that if a toon was needed for a special mission on a certain phase that they would NOT be required for the platoon missions on that phase. However, that does not preclude them being randomly selected to be one of the required units for platoons on a different phase. That might still be the case.

In short, just keep farming him.

Bare in mind a 5* Hoth Soldier is only a requirement to just enter the Combat Mission in Phase 4, doesn't mean he'll survive long. It's probably best to get him a little higher, and equipped with higher gear.

Otherwise you'll be at 4/6 or 5/6 with just 4 Toons instead of 5. Unless you're confident that the rest of your squad can carry you though.

This is easy to answer. You want every character to be at 7 stars. Platoon missions in p6 require 7 star toons. It is also random which ones it wants, so the deeper your roster the better off you will be to contribute to them.

7 star wicket, paploo, logray can be required in platoons when TB launches, so lvl 3, platoon missions will be hard to complete if rng gods are against you.

Now go catch them all.
