Well Vader is important to keep a debuff on HT so that Sith Fighter can ignore protection. It also constantly feeds Biggs Protection if HT tries to cleanse TL. Sith Fighter can also give Vader Foresight and Def Pen to further erode HT.
If you can time your reinforcement so that Wedge or Anakin (though his AoE is a problem as it feeds HT TM) come in right after HT goes, you can probably kill him before he can cleanse. But if HT gets to go, you will lose the buff block and then HT is back off to the races.
