- Until i get the problems with that damn robot :-) i need help for this damn phoenix squad :'(
- When i started facing phoenix i had to stop using aoe...i changed to use wedge, biggs, ezra and st han. I was also using boba as the 5th, but his dot gives hp to kanan.
You have to kill kanan first (to stop the counters) and then ezra (to reduce their 10% damage increase per round, and because he hits the hardest.
Have a dispel on your team to stop chopper's taunt. - Captain_Apollo428 years agoNew SpectatorI find wiggs works really well. Wedge helps provide endurance to keep up with phoenix but with superior dps to eventually burn them down. R2 also helps boosting stats and stealth to hide characters that are low on health. Aoe dps doesn't really work since 4 will basically regenerate all the hit points you remove while you use single dps basic attacks to burn down the 5th (so stacking high dps single target toons is best).
I never had luck with SThan who was always just too squishy. Either a pretaunter like baze or a self reviving taunter like scarif are probably good. The key I think with tanks is to have a very durable tank like baze paired with a healer or a self reviving tank like scarif so you can counter the Phoenix taunt stacking long enough to burn their major threats down. - Of course r2 and chaze will help. So would cls and thrawn. I dont think he has access to those characters yet. If he did, he wouldnt be having trouble with phoenix
- Phoenix has no pre-taunt. That is the weakness.
Use Wiggs. Get Biggs super fast so he goes first. Triple nuke ezra.....profit? - I disagree.
Wedge first to put defense down. Then biggs and everyone else do massive damage. - the problem with wedge going first is the triple nuke at this level will kill the toon anyway. So having wedge go first, then the nuke is just overkill. I find it better to have the nuke first and then wedge AOE right after. This ensures that, if the nuke doesn't quite kill them, the AOE will. Or, if the nuke did kill them, the AOE will damage the next toon you focus on.
Also, Biggs fastest is better on defense. "Mobewan;c-1338208" wrote:

If you make Wedge go first, you are gonna have a bad time. On defense, he will AOE first and against a counter team like Phoenix, that triggers an instant group hug filled with pain. Biggs must go first to increase the chance that Wedge is still around to assist.- Minimize AoE uses. Start with either Kanan to remove counter if you heavily rely on AoEs, if not Zeb to get rid of protection regen

I have been playing with wedge and biggs from the beginning of my game. I have tried both setups, and i can guarantee you that when wedge goes first, the enemy dies faster and that is without a major loss in defense.
On defense, any toon with aoe is terrible, and the AI is worse than terrible. For a wiggs team to perform better on defense, you need an autotaunt like GK or Baze. Furthermore, you would be better off adding r2 to the mix so that when wedge does his silly aoe on defense he is cloaked, but it still gives turn meter to Rex teams.
Offense is easy in this game. A team that can beat you with your biggs first cam beat you with your wedge first. I have experienced what you are describing for myself, and i can say without a doubt that inflicting defense down and killing the opposing g12 wedge or g11 kanan or whoever dps they have and climbing with easy is far better than worrying about how the AI will deal with these two characters.
The OP is having trouble on offense, so he needs to deliver more damage. Defense down is one of the best debuffs in the game.
If you have trouble on offense, that team will crush your defense, so you need to make some changes.
With wiggs, i now use r2, leia and GK. I put r2 first, then leia to make sure she gets her omega cloak benefits. But then wedge puts defense down before biggs special. In this case, i get less damage from leia's first attack, but even on offense, if wedge crits he will give TM to Rex teams that might spoil leia's perma-cloak and offense up. But wedge should always go before biggs in my experience.
