How do you beat Phoenix squad in arena?

One of the problems you guys are running into is Jedi Consular. JC is fine for a starter hero; we all used him, we all appreciated his healing ability. But there comes a point when you realize JC is just holding you back. He does not heal enough and he does little damage. Lumi is better because she is a better attacker, but eventually you need to drop her too. And you replace both of them with damage dealers.

There is a point where healing specialists have no place in Arena, and you instead just go for straight damage.

We can discuss zeta-Barriss later, but for now I think you may be better served to dump the healers and bring the pain.

Use toons with high crit with no debuffs so you don't trigger the kanaan heal once you break protection. Also focus their DPS down first (ezra, sabine) and/or Hera before touching the tanks. Stun, daze, stagger are murder on PS in general so use them to help control the group while you burn the dps and hera first.

You are going to have to avoid them until you get some high damage deals. Talia is a bad idea to upgrade.

Lumi, Jc. This is not good idea to use them. Leia, Biggs, Wedge are much better against Pheonix. Also Rey can do much more dmg than Jedi. Palpatine can also be very helpfull.

Good to see this thread lives on. I'm at level 75 and replaced JC with Wedge around level 70. I've found PHX squad success to be highly variable. Speed mods have been a big help. If STHan goes first, followed by Boba with death from above, followed by Biggs with comrade in arms improves chances hugely. You can take out Ezra or Hera before the other team goes. Single shots are a more reliable strategy, but sometimes AOEs can work before STHan dies. All that said, some PHX squads get their tanks engaged fast and then you're pretty much done for with no chance of success.

Empire with r2, stuns then vaders 2 specials, then keep stunning and killing one by one

TBH - I'd love to have a well geared Pheonix to fight - it'd be interesting to EVEN HAVE THE CHANCE.
It's just CLS as far as the eye can see.

thx for your tips. I tried it out but still no chance. when you cant kill Kanan or someone else, before they start attacking its over and you can stop fighting. I would ignore them. But 99% in the arena are phoenix squads. The rest rebels with 10k more power. Its really frustrating.
I hope they change something.
Maybe when I get wedge, or Baze i can fight back in the arena.

@Wulfman Wedge and Biggs can make quick work of Phoenix. A really easy free-to-play team is Wedge (L), Biggs, STHan, Jyn, and Qui-Gon/Boba.

You seen a Phoenix team in arena! Never seen one and my shard isn't the newest.
