How do you beat Phoenix squad in arena?

I run wedge, biggs, lando, bobba, st han.

Honestly if you use only the single target abilities its pretty easy. I usually take out chopper first, then Kanan, Ezra, hera, and then zeb. Pretty easy but you will get destroyed if you use any of the AOE abilities.

I could beat the phoenix squad with Lando (L) , STHan, Leia, Luminara and Boba Fett. With Lando as leader you should start attacking first (G6 and rank 1 mods at least, btw I'm level 51)
1. Use Leia stealth skill.
2. then use boba execute with chopper to remove taunt.
3. Taunt with STHan.
4. Lando AOE (all gonna attack STHAN and he should survive first attack wave)
5. Heal team with Luminara.
6. If AOE did crit, Chopper should be near dead so use Leia on chopper to finish him.
7. Your next move should be kill Hera with Boba to prevent she uses his special on any teammate (His special revives the ally with 100% health).
8. Next move should be kill Ezra (your STHan maybe is already dead so don't use AOE or they gonna counter you, if STHan isn't dead, attack Ezra with STHan then Lando's AOE)
9. Ezra should be dead by the time you do your next move, so your next target is kill Kanan or Zeb (I usually kill zeb first due his protection skill, then kill Kanan)


Doing this, when you have already killed Chopper, Hera and Ezra, your alive team should be Lando, Lumi and Boba (Leia probably is dead or nearly dead cause she is a bit weak out Stealth)

TIPS: As someone said only use AOEs if STHan taunt is up, and use Boba's execute skill every time you can to remove taunts and Ezra buffs. I think that with TIE Fighter Pilot should be easier cause his special ability prevents that the enemy get buffs, but you should change your entire team cause with this one it shouldn't work very well.

Voateomo. It's in the new shards that Phoenix thrives. It's incredibly easy to get decently starred phoenix as a beginner free player or dolphin. The top ten teams in my shard are full Phoenix, full Nightsisters or significantly higher gp with multiple 6 and 7 star characters and the players are probably full whale.

There are multiple teams that can shut down phoenix but they aren't as easily accessible and as easily starrable in the early game.

Yes, Phoenix are more an issue with new shards. My wiggsdo + StHan + Boba, have sporadic success depending on level and gear. And it is like a gear and level thing for the shard. Before wedge, I got wrecked. With wedge I won vs most Phoenix teams for level or two . It has gone back and forth since. At the moment (l 78), aoes don’t do enough damage and I can’t single shot thru tanks. Am curious to see what happens at G10

Today in one match with a Phoenix squad Hera did me that and ruined my tactic ._. . I have to say that it was the first time she did that cause usually she put that on Ezra or Kanan u.u.

I'm replying to you too late, so probably you already fixed that, but for newcomers maybe this helps. You should change JC or Lumi (I suggest change JC) and add to you squad a powerful 1 target character, since you team is mainly rebel/scoundrel I suggest you Luke Skywalker (farmboy) or Princess Leia, they are both easy to farm. Put Lando as Leader cause you must attack first.

Facing Phenix on over gear IX, speed over 200 and with zeta sabine and zeta kanan is a true nightmare. Easy to defeat them, but in a way more than 5 minutes, which is frustrating in Arena. my F2P team is Zopress, Zylo, 6* Thrawn, 6* Nihilus, 7* R2D2, can wipe them but time out T_T

I found Ackbar lead to be a massive help. Combine that with a couple of hard hitting rebels (Leia is perfect for this) and a few healers/supports. The trick is to avoid using AOE damage and debuffs. You can cleanse any daze plus if you do an indirect attack they can't counter it so use as many non-attacking moves as you can and let Leia take them out.

Leia is balls against phoenix because if she is stealthed they cant counter, she does awesome damage AND she applies no debuffs with her basic so she doesnt heal them with every hit. She is a super easy farm. I still use her in a 2016 shard. Not sure what mods you have but once you get a crit damage triangle put it on Leia immediatly.

Also, check Choppers speed on the other team before you fight. He can be really fast and with 30% evasion if he taunts first you will probably have a hard time. You need to kill or ability block him quick as he is a monster buffer debuffer tank with phoenix. Ive used him as a Main Tank on a non phoenix team. He is highly underrated.
