How much tenacity

Is there anyway for a character to become completely immune to detrimental effects through the use of mods? I'm planning on pairing my k2so with jyn erso and was wondering if there was a way to prevent the droid from getting negative effects and losing taunt
  • Put in a tenacity up character like Chirrut, Rex, or Yoda, or just use any of a number of cleansers.

You could in theory mod his tenacity super high, but you're likely to face such high potency it wouldn't matter.
  • If you pair K2 with cassian he starts with debuff immunity, also known as tenacity up, for I think 3 turns.
  • Aside from the tenacity up buff, you can mod for tenacity. But if you face well modded characters then it may be impossible. If the explanation we've been given is correct then you would need potency that is 100% higher than the highest debuffing opponent. As an example, my Palpatine has 75% potency, so you theoretically need 175% tenacity. His lead gives 32% extra potency, so then you would need 207% tenacity. There are worse opponents to deal with for potency too. (Tarkin)

    unless it's dispelled of course.

It isn't physically possible to make a toon immune, there's just isn't enough mods to do it. If you gave him high tenacity he would resist a lot more though.

if you used 3 tenacity sets you would gain 30% from them. add 24% (off the top of my head) from a tenacity primary on the cross. you could easily pick up another 10% on secondaries and his base rate is 29%. So I reckon you could turn in around 90-95%

Admittedly I don't fully understand how potency v tenacity works but your average high potency toon has around 40% unmodded, so therefore I'm guessing you're already at a 50-55% resist rate which is pretty good but not what you were after, especially as some people stick a 24% potency cross on. In that instance all your hard work on tenacity wouldn't count for much as that would potentially bring the resist down to as little as 25%. even with no tenacity you have a 15% resist base rate!

alternatively, you could just run zR2 and mod him for a really high crit rate and you'll find that his counter gets rid of debuffs pretty much straight away.

  • I used to run a full tenacity r2 for a while, as he's also the highest base tenacity character. After mods I had him at 107% tenacity. Although I did notice more resists from him than the rest of my team, with the plethora of debuffers and debuffs out there it just wasn't substantial enough to justify over a speed set for him. Unfortunately, tenacity as a stat is not worth investing in for sustained results.
