How to beat specific arena teams - guides?

There are some stereotypical teams that show up frequently in arena (e.g. First order with zeta phasma lead, Resistance with zFinn lead, Phoenix). Are there general strategy tips/guides for how to beat them? (What teams work well against them, what teams work poorly, who to attack first, who to strip what buff from or apply buff immunity, what sorts of attacks to avoid, etc.)
Obviously some of this will depend on your team, relative mod strengths, etc. But for attacking those factions with one leader, there might be some strategies which are generally applicable.
I expect this information is out there someplace, but I haven't been able to find it. If it is not, maybe we should start a series of threads (one per opponent team) where people can share their tips.

  • Link to wrong game. Clickbait.

Talia is not a good lead for that team. Remove Talia, make Qui Gon leader, and add another Jedi. Zeta QGJ leader if you plan to use the team for a while.
  • Galactic War key early on if you're stuck on a battle?

If it's your A, B or C team regardless, kill the leader if you feel like you won't take them all down.

When you re-enter the battle with your next group they don't have a leader ability in a leader slot. I.E Hera doesn't exist so they can't share uniques.
  • You just need to be a little prophetic about the meta. There have been like 3 metas in some months in the last year: CLS, then JTR and now EP, with a very short NS moment. While you try to figure out the next meta, just keep up with these and keep in mind that maybe in the past it wasn't so, but now the OPness of the meta characters they release makes almost sure that they will never leave the meta. They will surely get outclassed by the shiny new one, but they'll always remain in the meta. I still run CLS and through some good mods I almost always manage to wreck those trash can-based JTR teams.
  • What teams beat double zeta kru lead with officer, exicusioner, tank and masked
  • Something faster than FOO. Get an attack in before he gives marching orders to someone else. Ideally have a cleanse ready to take away Kylos stun or stun him so he can't counter. Healing immunity negates his unique and his zeta leadership.
  • This thread brings a very good question. You are all dismissing it as just use the meta. But what about territory war? Youve just used your meta team now what? You need to know how to maximise your remaining squads.

So how do you beat beat a meta squad now you have used yours?
How do you counter a fo team? Or jedi? Or night sisters? Troopers? Pheonix?
Basically whats best squad for each without using meta?
  • Against pheonix get chopper to not taunt whether it's from stun, buff immunity, fracture, or shocked doesn't really matter. Then kill Kanan. He should taunt any way so it's not really up to you. After Kanan is dead they will stop countering so you can deal with Ezra

Killing Hera does not prevent them from sharing their uniques, if you think so you need to read her leader ability again; it just removes the 20% to 40% turn meter gain when they use specials.

It also removes her Backup Plan ability aka rez.

CLS, JTR or Thrawn teams seem like possibles. As noted want good speed.

Here are a few resources that list some counters to various teams.

(This only lists leads, rather than team compositions. Use the bookmarks to
    get to the charts.)

These lists are a little out of date. They don't really cover zEP teams,
    zBosk teams, Treya teams.

I guess zBastila lead with some strong Jedi (GMY) is supposed to be a decent counter to Treya teams.

Don't know how to counter the others.
