How to deal with Zylo?

I can't think of anyway to defeat this one man wrecking crew other than stunning or DN. I'm running Rebels in arena and I don't have R2-D2 so I can't stun. If I go dark side, Royal Guard would probably be the answer provided Zylo doesn't two shot the whole team first. Palps mass stun is too unreliable and random and he dies very quickly too even at 7 stars. Dooku is not geared and my DN is weak. I don't have the Deathtrooper or Sith Assassins. Also I prefer to stick to the Rebels so I don't drop a lot on defense. Hard to get characters to actually dps him to 0 while he simply hits for 30k or more and gains all his protection back. I had him take out 3 of my characters with just him standing alone.

Much as I have to admit how powerful Zylo is in the game. I probably wouldn't get him anytime soon. I despise him in the movie and think he's a sad excuse for a wannabe of a Sith who goes emo and throws his temper here and there. Reminds me of the typical really annoying colleague/boss found in some workplaces. Didn't liked the new episode because of him and some other issues. Then a year later, Rogue One came out and reminded me why I love Star Wars.
  • If you can get Krennic's second special and get his potency up then you can stun him for two turns
  • He's a pain to gear, but Boba Fett on the sidelines is great to have for those select few "unkillable" characters. Zylo, Zavage, Baze, Chirrut, & GK alone make him worth the price, Slave One is just icing.
  • He is very tanky, lotta health and protection. The amount of turns needed to bring him down is more turns the other 4 enemies take. If you take out the easiest or quickest first they have less turns against you. Of course there more to it than that but its a no brainer in a turn based game to give them less turns.

If you insist on playing with rebels (without R2), you should time your attacks so that when you take Kylo below full health you have your special attacks ready to take him all the way to zero before he has a chance to regen protection with his special. If he gets to recover to high protection with below full health at the same time he becomes really annoying, if you have no way of blocking, stunning or shocking him.

  • I'm doing what Greengoblin suggested. Shock him first and then stun. I normally start with mass stun with Palps thinking it will gain me the advantage or shocking the tank. If there's a tank, I shock the tank first then Kylo. I always keep Kylo for last now, avoid touching him at all costs, though his emo lashing out is as annoying as Dooku's continuous countering.

If Palps dies early before all the shocks and stun are done, which happens a lot , I'm usually screwed. But might get by to good RNG.
