I missed the Rey train now what?

As advised by others, start collecting Rey now. Great for raids with the Foresight bonus to keep her alive.
Great for PvP. Great for GW.

And as noted with the extra help from guild shipments there is no reason not to go after her.

Farm her from guild shop, she is by far the best option there unless you run a droid team, in which case you might want to farm JE.

Rey runs a really long train. You still have time to hop on her caboose. Just start now. Her shards drop in the guild shop all the time. Might take longer than Cantina shipments, but you can supplement with her hard nodes. I'll bet it goes faster than you thought it would.

It's easier now than ever to farm Rey with the guild store. Focus all of your guild tokens on her and it won't take months I promise.

It was suggested in another reply that Jawa Engineer is a good answer on a droid team. I think that's the route to take here. ... Just another slow farm to get those JE shards.

Also, I am really learning towards spending guild currency on gear. I need 18 Furnaces (9) immediately. So that may minimize the amount of currency I can spend on fast farm Rey.

Even if they do nerf her, she won't be as useless as Ugnaught.

Did I miss something and they made her not farmable? When guilds started I had 14 Rey shards and now I have her 7*. Granted I did spend tons of crystals so I could do it in three weeks but even if your f2p and farm her hard nodes plus the guild store you could've made great progress.

What did you do to get her in three weeks? Is that some thing like three refreshes every node for a total of 9 refreshes daily? Yikes!

Well I refreshed the guild shop twice everyday and I refreshed every hard node twice but if you remember when we had the double rewards I did all the 100 crystal refreshes on those days I think it was 4 or 5 refreshes each day, that's how I got her so fast
