I geared him up somewhat (he's easy going until purple) to try him in the tanks challenge. I didn't find him very convincing, but I thought it was a good way to try him out at a low cost. I was thinking his TM gain on special would be good, but it was barely noticeable, he's very slow to start with.
He did much better today in the Empire omega event, but that's not particularly competitive (not indicative of Arena battles).
