Is Darth Revan really as bad on Defence as people are saying? Or is it something else?

It's a brand new faction. If this early Sith Empire team were already OP on both offense and defense, people wouldn't need future Sith Empire marquees and legendaries. I have a feeling that Sith Assassin, Marauder and Trooper will soon be as obsololete as Jedi Knight Guardian or Consular. Gotta keep 'em spending.
