Is potency over 100% pointless?
As the title states. I have several characters with ~110% potency. Is that 10% completely wasted? I wouldn't think potency could go higher than 100

Yes.
Tenacity - Potency = chance to resist (min 15%)
Only in raids will you see anyone with very high tenacity. That is when you will push the chance to resist to its minimum. Even in those situations 80%-90% will work just as well as 110%.
In all other game modes you are wasting mods to bring potency that high as a lower number would have driven it to the minimum.
