When people call a team "bad" or "useless" or "obsolete," what they really mean is "this team cannot take #1 in squad arena." Which is true of 95% of the characters in the game at any given time.
Resistance was already ousted from top arena spots a long time ago, but they're fine everywhere else and still do great in raids.
