Then it's BROKEN..... plain and simple. I don't care how good you think you are, it shouldn't ever happen if you have a better geared and skilled fleet period.
The power rating is flawed, sure.
Your second statement however is pure garbage: there are too many variables in play for a common game AI to beat a knowledgeable Human opponent and real life history is replete with examples of inferior forces defeating superior ones.
I can see your argument and you do bring up a valid point regarding history. I can see it happening every now and then but not every single day. That's all Im trying to say. I just think the system is somewhat flawed. Like the OP said, what's the point of leveling gear and using resources to "improve" your fleet if the game allows someone who is far behind to just beat you?
