If you felt that SLKR was the best GL before Kenobi came out, I’d stick with that for now.
I don’t think there are enough ultimate Kenobi out there nor has enough time passed to have properly assessed his performance

You are wrong. Check out the YouTube vids. JMK is the most powerful GL by far

I still think time will tell. More counters will come forward and we will have a clearer perspective.

Ha! Just watch the videos on youtube and then tell me if you still believe that.

If YouTube videos are the only basis you have for that belief, I’d re-think that.
When the first GLs were released, those same videos were quick to point out that SLKR was complete junk compared to Rey. In fact most of these videos tend to be totally wrong about a characters performance when they first come out.

I’m not saying that kenobi isn’t good. I’m just saying it’s a bit early to be calling him the “best” GL.

There will be tweaks to modding and team compositions that will change the dynamic and probably end up being much more balanced than things look now.

Did you watch Ahnaldt's videos showing his various test battles?

    Ah my mistake.
I thought you were being serious when I responded earlier.

I stated that I did not think you would hold your position if you watched the test videos. You gave some rationale as to why you would keep your position, which I am fine with particularly if you said, "I watched the videos and still think JMK will be balanced among GLs." If you didn't watch the videos then you dont know what I am referring to and have what I view as a baseless position.

JMK calls assists like crazy, and gets his ultimate procced faster than any GL in the game. He is rapidly filling top 5 arena on shards. There is no mixture of GLs up there. It's JMK JMK JMK JMK JMK.

The test videos show Rey unable to beat him, Kylo barely.

I say all that just to point out he is now #1 GL. Oh, and yes he can solo HSTR not that it is a big deal.

While yes, more data will come, all of the evidence this far points to him being pretty OP all around.
  • SLKR hasn't been the best GL since JML and SEE. I would argue he is now the worst and least useful.

SLKR is the worst and least useful? Lol what PVE would like to differ.

The point I am making is that I don’t care what these videos show. Because it’s too early to count on what you see in these videos being the case long term. Things shift over time.

If you show me a video today that shows Kenobi slaughtering Rey and SLKR, all I’m trying to say is that given some time those Rey and SLKR teams will likely evolve a bit in team composition and modding to the point where it isn’t quite so cut and dry anymore.
  • SLKR continues to be great in PVP, is by all accounts the easier of the HSTR solos, and let's not forget his gigantic advantage in roster efficiency--his unlock requirements build his own squad.

SLKR will continue to be relevant for a long time.
  • I'm not 100% sure on this, but I would also point to the requirements. (From a blank slate)

SLKR - has some of the more useful required toons, which is very helpful, but not directly tied to who is best.

SEE - arguably the "easiest" requirements

JMK - a mix of good/easy, but then WAT says hi.

JML - some good characters in there, but for a new(ish) player too many that are not really on a controllable timeline

Rey - not too many good, but not really bad either.

That should really be part of any conversation comparing GLs.

All new material this year is focused around Prequel trilogy. SLKR and Jedi Rey will not be getting any reinforcements anytime in the forseeable future. Kenobi already can spank both of these with ease.. especially with bad batch.. which makes Kenobi full auto everything. Only thing that will remove Kenobi from being better than SLKR is a nerf to Kenobi.

slkr can beat kenobi easily too, so...
  • It is too early to rate JMK at this point. Eventually there will be a JMK squad that everyone will say is OP. We will see what CAT brings to the table.

I would say SEE and Rey would be the bottom two GL's. Can't say for sure since I don't have SEE yet, so I haven't had a chance to use him. I just use SLKR and JML in arena now, switching based on opponent team. It would be nice to have SEE to go up against other JML teams, but really, who wants to leave him on defense? I think I may have lost once to SEE and that was vs. a team with Han who stunned my Wat first and screwed up the battle for me.
