Well it's quite simple actually and would require minimum coding. When choosing an opponent in the arena you can only see THREE of their toons, (Leader and two others,) the other two are hidden from you and are only revealed when you go into battle, a little surprise for you!Sure you can guess who they would be based on what leader they have selected etc but it would make people bring a more rounded team I feel. Players would also end up baiting, "Oooh look at my weak squad... please don't attack me!" Then their two hidden toons are Chaze...

Yeah, I don't see that being the problem. It just wouldn't change anything, I would probably be able to guess the full squad of anyone in my top 10 based on the three visible toons. There's only about 10 toons that make up the main meta squads. Unless they are running Resistance, Sith or Empire, which you would also be able to tell from the visible members. I mean, technically, you could have R2 instead of RP, but it's not like that would change much as far as strategy.

The hilarious thing is that this same forum complained back then when only the leader was shown. Now we want LESS visibility of the team we attack? :facepalm:

When the game started, it was only the leader shown (profile, incl his level and his gear rings), no team members, no details (stats, mods, etc) ... nothing. The leader ability in text was shown and i think to remember not even the right level one ...
it was more surprising ... what chars were hidden behind Dooku ...
Not sure, what way is "better" ... it were other times ... times when stunning lumi ("healer") with dooku in turn one was one of the most important moves to start with ...

I think this is a very bad idea.
For example: If i have good counter to Chaze why should i waste a battle first to just SEE that they are there in a squad? Lose a battle because i used bad strategy because i didnt know what will i face. Then i can use the right strategy against them in the next battle and win. So i'll have 1 lost battle + 1 win instead of 1 win. Who enjoys losing battles?

Sorry to say but not knowing doesn't bring more variety to team. More viable options does.

Not knowing 2 toons doesn't bring any balance to arena. More viable options does.

Not knowing 2 toons doesn't make people think about defense. Better AI, some sort of player input on defensive AI actions does.

This would most likely decrease variety, since you won't know the full team people will bring in a more standard team to make sure they can win.

my shard mate changed his squad for me yesterday so i could take 1st. his payout is 5 or 6 hours before mine so it helps everybody get a piece of the pie. did he have to no. i would have been fine w second but yeah its pretty friendly and more fun helping each other and giving feedback on teams.
