Isolate/fracture vs watt technology

Title says it all, who wins out there? Considering swapping kru to defense with watt but wondering if traya isolate just removes the taunt via technology from watt?

Not completely accurate. Tech is a locked buff so can’t be removed but Isolate will remove the taunt and will prevent KRU from regaining taunt since the taunt is not a locked buff. KRU would continue to gain protection but you would be able to kill his teammates while you wait to Annihilate him, assuming you’re using Nihilus with Traya.

Awesome. Just hadn’t had the chance to test it so wasn’t sure. Thanks for the quick reply!

Have you tried this? I'd imagine it would work like Old Ben and Bossk's zetas, the fracture/isolate would dispel the taunt, the taunt would re-apply, and then fracture/isolate would apply, so you'd have to dispel the taunt again.

Haven’t tested it against KRU specifically but have tested against other teams with Wat. It might not be working as intended but it appears the check to see if the toon still has taunt is happening either at the end or beginning of each turn so it’s not reapplying immediately like Bossk and Old Ben.

Well thank goodness you saying it’s happening either at the beginning or the end of each turn is completely accurate ?

  • It’s a close call! Traya’s isolate can remove taunt, but Watt's tech adds serious defense. If you want to explore more defensive strategies, Watt might be worth the switch!
