Ben, not because he’s clearly better, but because you’ll need him to unlock Jedi Master Luke later on. As you seem to like Jedi’s, JML should be on your radar ;)

I would go for Ezra to take advantage of his "watch and learn" ability to call to assist your damage dealer(probably GMY)

Ezra, with his dispel and call to assist specials, is obviously better option at least for attack. With him you should have no big trouble against mirror teams with GK, providing equal gear and mods, as well as against other common JKR opponents.

Old Ben is the questionable option imho. JKR is alpha strike squad, not control squad. GK is good there because he provides passive tanking (no need to waste turn on taunting, or outspeed opponents for taunting) AND additional attack options (mass assist and retribution). Other Jedi tanks - not so much (aside JML of course). Old Ben may be better on defense or maybe in some specific cases where you really MUST have tank but overall I'd prefer Ezra.

Hoda is all-around better than both, even at 5*.

Old Ben is the better investment and will work nicely against Grievous in GAC (higher use in the long run), used in a counter vs SLKR, and required for JML. Ezra is ok, but not a “necessary” character.

Until I had GK, I’d use Old Ben if I had him over Ezra

I would argue that Juhani is the better option.
The GroupThink on this forum won't agree but she can be a tough Tank and will be required later for Malak.
